Tuf-foot spray

As mentioned in previous gear review posts, I tend to have problems with my hands and hot spots on pretty much any paddle over 1.5-2 hours, hence the reason I pretty much always use gloves. Salli O’Donnell shared a tip with me in Episode 33 of the podcast (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/e33-salli-odonnell-the-queen-of-the-650/id1781565312?i=1000745681954) with a product she has historically used, called Tuf-Foot linked here https://link.amazon/B00QusspC (As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases). As indicated on the bottle “Tuf-Foot is a liquid product that toughens the skin and aides in killing germs and fungi.” Since Salli shared this with me in Episode 33 I’ve used it with great results. My hands seem much more resilient and resistant to developing hot spots and blisters whether I’m out on a short training run or in a multi-day ultramarathon race like the Alabama 650. And as a result I find myself being able to do longer paddles without the use of gloves, although admittedly I still use gloves in all of my ultramarathon races or long adventures on the water.
